About Jabez Ranch

Jabez Ranch is a dream that I share with my wife, Cathy.  We are located in the shadow of the Huachuca Mountains overlooking the San Pedro River Valley running north from Mexico.  Rolling hills and grasslands create a true Western experience.  Home of the Buffalo Soldiers, Geronimo, Cochise, and infamous cowboys.

Jabez comes from the Hebrew word meaning “out of pain”.  Although we have experienced pain in our lives, be it poor health, failed relationships, spiritual bankruptcy, or perhaps being thrown from that disrespectful horse; Jabez Ranch is about a blessing.  A blessing and a gift from our Creator, the Almighty God.

Sometimes like that horse that does not want to soften, we are put through trials as we run in the round pen of life before we submit to and acknowledge that God is in control and that He wants a relationship with us.  And like any good father, He wants to bless His children.

Jabez Ranch is our way of reaching out to others who have the desire to change and improve their skills and their relationship with their horse.  It is our desire to share with you what we have learned and experienced.  So, drop your head, lick your lips, and share with us in this journey.

And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying,

“Oh, That you would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that your hand would be with me, and that you would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain.”

So God granted him what he requested.
