Jabez & Cheyenne |
|
Cheyenne, the mare, was born in 1998. She is a Palomino/Paint. She has severe cribbing issues. She is very head shy. She was given to us with foal. She was bred with a beautiful registered Paint. Jabez is her first foal and she is an excellent mother. |
History |
|
Jabez was born in July 2010, here at Jabez Ranch. He is Cheyenne’s colt.
Jabez’s markings make him a Medicine Hat Horse. A Medicine Hat Horse is very sacred to the American Indian. Warriors that rode a Medicine Hat Horse into battle believed they were protected from harm.
What makes Jabez a Medicine Hat Horse is the brown cap located on top of his head. This is like a war bonnet. He also has a splash of paint on his chest like a shield. And his eyes are both blue. The American Indians call these blue eyes ‘sky eyes’ or ‘heaven eyes’.
His mostly white body creates a great white canvass for painting special symbols.
For us here at the Ranch, Jabez is very special indeed. He is a special gift from God who has given us many blessings.
